DMCA & Copyright Policy
Overview
WLTeaching respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and other applicable laws.
This policy outlines the procedures for reporting copyright infringement and our process for handling such claims.
Copyright Infringement Notification
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on our platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may notify us by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that you claim is infringing and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, including information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (such as the specific URL or book title).
- Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Your physical or electronic signature or the signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Please note: Only DMCA notices should be sent to the Copyright Agent. Any other feedback, comments, requests for technical support, and other communications should be directed through our contact page.
Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that your material has been removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our Copyright Agent by providing the following information:
- Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located.
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If you send us a valid counter-notification, we will restore the material unless the copyright owner files a court action against you within 10 business days.
Repeat Infringer Policy
WLTeaching has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
False Claims
Warning: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Additionally, submitting a false DMCA notice may result in civil liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
Before submitting a DMCA notice, please ensure that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
Content Seller Responsibilities
All content sellers on our platform must:
- Own all rights to the content they upload or have explicit permission from the copyright owner
- Provide accurate information about their content, including proper attribution
- Not upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Respond promptly to any copyright claims regarding their content
- Indemnify WLTeaching against any claims arising from their uploaded content
Our Response Process
When we receive a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the content uploader of the removal
- Provide information about the counter-notification process
- Terminate repeat offenders' accounts as appropriate
- Maintain records of DMCA notices as required by law
Fair Use Considerations
Before filing a DMCA notice, please consider whether the use of your copyrighted material might be protected under fair use doctrine. Fair use allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission for purposes such as:
- Criticism, comment, or review
- News reporting
- Teaching or educational use
- Research or scholarship
- Parody or transformative use
International Copyright
WLTeaching respects copyright laws worldwide. We will respond to valid copyright infringement notices under applicable international copyright laws and treaties, including:
